is the meat government inspected?

Yes, all of our meat is inspected at the butcher by an inspector from the Meat Inspections Branch of the the Regulatory Service Division of Alberta Agriculture and Rural Development.

Do we use antibiotics or hormones?

We do not use any antibiotics or hormones for growth.

We do however take measures to ensure our flock is healthy and this sometimes means that a veterinarian prescribes antibiotics. If and when this happens withdrawal periods are adhered to.

is the meat frozen?

The meat is frozen. We receive the meat cut, wrapped and frozen from the butcher. They are stored in our government inspected freezers until pick up.
